General Information

Centrally located: Border Bucks Outfitters is located 2 hours North/Northeast of Kansas City, Missouri and 1 1/2 hours south of Des Moines, Iowa. Once you arrive at Border Bucks Outfitters, transportaion is provided by our skilled guides. All of our land is privately owned and under a very strict management program.

Meals and lodging: All of our hunts include meals and lodging. Our lodge is a newly remodeled farm house with central air/heat, modern bathrooms, satellite TV, telephone, and internet access. Down here, we love to eat. All meals are home cooked and top notch. We will build the menu to fit our hunters. Prior to your hunt we send out a list of meals for each group to choose from and then we plan the meals for that time frame. The meals are delicious and the portions very generous.

Booking your hunt: To book a hunt with us, we require a 1/3 deposit to hold your spot. The balance of your hunt is due prior to the start date of your hunt. The deposit/payments can be made by money order, cashiers check, or bank drafts.

Licensing: Deer and Turkey licenses are available over the counter for our Missouri hunts, and by lottery only for our Iowa hunts. A hunter education certificate is required for persons who are purchasing firearms permits. Iowa also has a preference point system which will aid in acquiring a tag for the chance to hunt for an Iowa buck. Please see detailed licensing information for IOWA and MISSOURI. Please email or call us today for an application and we will take it from there!

Trophy care: Our hunts include getting your animal to the local meat locker and/or the local taxidermist. The cost of the meat processing and/or taxidermy is not included in the price of the hunt.
